Junior Compliance Officer – Employee related Conflicts

About the role

Join Julius Baer’s Employee‑related Conflicts of Interest team within Central Compliance. You will oversee mandates, secondary occupations, gifts, hospitality and conflicts of interest, ensuring the highest compliance standards across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and further develop compliance frameworks, policies and procedures for mandates, secondary occupations, gifts, entertainment and conflicts of interest.
• Serve as the primary contact for employees, internal stakeholders and compliance officers across locations, coordinating global alignment and delivering relevant training.
• Execute and monitor day‑to‑day compliance processes, including reviews, control execution, reporting and ad‑hoc investigations, adjusting controls as needed.
• Track regulatory developments and industry standards, implementing measures to ensure ongoing framework effectiveness.
• Contribute to compliance‑related projects and support initiatives focused on process digitalisation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor/Master in Finance, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking compliance, preferably in international private banking.
• Experience with employee‑related compliance topics and processes.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of German and other languages is an advantage.
