Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

The Legal Counsel will join the Group Legal team of L’Occitane, supporting the business across manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, sponsorship, lease, corporate, litigation, IP and data protection matters. Reporting to the Group Head of Legal, Commercial & Corporate Affairs, the role is based at the Geneva headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, review, comment on and draft a wide range of legal and commercial documents, including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing and partnership agreements.
• Support the development and management of distribution networks such as selective distribution, exclusive distribution, franchising and distributors.
• Advise operational teams, especially sales, marketing and e‑commerce, to ensure compliance with consumer and competition law.
• Help prevent and manage pre‑litigation and litigation matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in business or economic law.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar corporate role, preferably within a B2C environment.
• Fluent in English and French with strong written communication skills in both languages.
• Business‑oriented, pragmatic mindset with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of contract, distribution and consumer law.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate needs and manage multiple queries efficiently.
