Marketing Lead – SMA

About the role

This senior position is responsible for driving global market development and launch readiness strategies to support successful product commercialization. You will work closely with global, regional and cross‑functional stakeholders to shape market strategies, develop go‑to‑market plans and ensure organizational readiness for launch.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Global Commercial Leadership (GCL) to develop market‑shaping and go‑to‑market strategies across regions.
• Lead execution of omni‑channel marketing plans, overseeing agency partnerships and tactical asset creation.
• Develop messaging hierarchy, creative guidelines, and unbranded/branded style standards.
• Support launch readiness reviews, SWOT analyses, risk mitigation and resource allocation for product launches.
• Collaborate with insights, medical affairs, patient advocacy and corporate communications to ensure consistent messaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
• 12‑15 years of biopharmaceutical marketing experience, preferably in lupus or dermatology/rheumatology.
• Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
• Strong analytical, financial and project‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with VEEVA promotional tools.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint for presentations.
• Digital marketing strategy development and execution.
