Motion Design Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Motion Design Specialist to shape engaging digital experiences in Switzerland. You will bring products and interfaces to life through thoughtful motion design and interaction storytelling, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and create high‑quality animations, transitions, and interaction flows that enhance product usability.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, producers, and stakeholders to identify motion opportunities.
• Translate business objectives and product strategies into intuitive motion concepts and scalable systems.
• Communicate timing, pacing, and interaction intent clearly to engineering teams.
• Define motion principles, interaction patterns, and consistent motion systems across products.
• Extend visual systems through motion while aligning with brand identity.
• Improve internal workflows, tooling, and design processes.
• Mentor other motion designers and foster an inclusive, innovative team environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of motion design experience in a studio, agency, product company, or freelance setting.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion craft, interaction design, and product‑focused thinking.
• Solid understanding of UX principles and user‑centered methodologies.
• Ability to turn complex concepts into polished, intuitive motion experiences.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams and communicating motion specifications.
• Excellent visual design sensibility with a deep grasp of timing, composition, and movement.
