Receptionist – Guest Services on Luxury River Cruise

About the role

Uniworld is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join the onboard team of its luxury river and off‑river vessels. You will be the first point of contact for guests and crew, delivering warm, personalized service that reflects the company’s commitment to excellence and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous front‑desk service, anticipating guest needs and adding personal touches.
• Perform concierge duties, including excursion bookings, guest preferences, and handling minor complaints.
• Execute administrative tasks such as check‑in/out, cash handling, currency exchange, billing, and posting under the direction of the Purser/Hotel Manager.
• Prepare and distribute printed and digital information (daily programs, menus, buffet signs) and manage all onboard communication channels.
• Maintain the front‑office cashier, cash handovers, and ensure immaculate cleanliness of the front desk and boutique area.
• Operate the onboard boutique – manage sales, pricing, product displays, and cleanliness.
• Participate in daily briefings, seasonal preparations, supply loading, and attend safety drills and training sessions.
• Replace the Purser/Concierge during holiday rotations and ensure all guests and crew are onboard before departure.
