Restaurant Director – Il Lago

About the role

The Restaurant Director of Il Lago leads the entire restaurant team, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction at the Michelin‑starred venue within Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, develop and schedule the restaurant staff, ensuring compliance with Four Seasons standards, PCI training and health & safety procedures.
• Oversee daily operations, including menu planning with the kitchen, inventory control, cost management (food, beverage, waste) and financial performance using tools such as Mirus, Ontrack and Birchstreet.
• Maintain the outlet’s appearance, equipment and hygiene standards, and handle guest complaints or special requests to uphold high satisfaction scores (Médalia, Forbes, LQA).

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken; additional language is a plus.
• Proven experience in fine‑dining service, wine and food knowledge, with strong leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, purchasing and pricing while ensuring adherence to Four Seasons policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Mirus, Ontrack, Birchstreet, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of restaurant management software (Micros) and basic IT competence.
