Secondary French A & B Teacher

About the role

La Côte International School Aubonne is seeking a dynamic Secondary French A & B Teacher to join its multilingual community. You will deliver French language instruction across lower secondary, IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes, fostering a love of language and culture among a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess French A and B curricula for secondary students.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders to select resources and ensure effective implementation.
• Participate in the design and review of lower secondary, IGCSE and IBDP French programmes.
• Promote health and safety within assigned classes.
• Contribute to staff development, meetings and professional training.
• Organise trips, excursions, field trips and extracurricular activities related to French language and culture.
• Support students’ academic and pastoral needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French language with QTS status or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of successful teaching experience, preferably in an international setting.
• Native French speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse workload and inspire mixed‑ability classes.
• Clear criminal record extracts and a valid work permit are assets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using educational technology for administration and teaching.
