Senior Electrical Engineer – Industrial Projects (German/English)

About the role

Artelia Industrie in Pratteln is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, specification and commissioning of electrical systems for chemical, pharmaceutical and process‑industry projects. The role combines technical engineering work with project leadership and client interaction, and requires fluency in German and English.

Key responsibilities

• Perform low‑, medium‑ and high‑voltage electrical distribution studies and create detailed schematics.
• Specify and size power conversion equipment, LV switchboards, transformers and instrumentation.
• Lead technical bid evaluations, coordinate with suppliers and manage project costing.
• Act as the main technical contact for customers, supervise EIA/EMSR work packages and monitor schedule, cost and quality.
• Execute FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, commissioning and start‑up activities on‑site in German‑speaking Switzerland.
• Mentor junior engineers and report on local activity development to the office director.

Required profile

• Master’s or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of industrial electrical engineering experience, including commissioning and start‑up.
• Proven expertise in EIA/EMSR systems and instrumentation for chemical or pharmaceutical plants.
• Fluent German and professional English; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, autonomy and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
