Senior Finance Manager – Head of Finance (Geneva)

About the role

This senior finance position is based in a well‑established private banking institution in central Geneva. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role combines finance, operations, treasury and risk oversight, offering C‑suite‑level visibility and autonomy within a stable, FINMA‑regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting, treasury and back‑office activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and manage operational, financial and compliance risks, including asset‑management and investment‑related matters.
• Review monthly financial statements and guarantee timely legal and FINMA reporting.
• Implement, improve and adapt internal procedures and controls, following up on audit recommendations.
• Support HR‑related processes such as payroll, social security and insurance administration.
• Participate in internal committees, coordinate ad‑hoc projects requested by senior management and prepare Board documentation in close collaboration with the CEO.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance and Swiss banking risk management.
• Proven experience with FINMA reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Previous role as CFO, Head of Finance, or senior finance function within a Big Four or comparable institution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team while remaining hands‑on.
