Senior Frontend (React) Developer – Financial Platforms

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to shape the architecture of mission‑critical financial platforms in Zurich. You will work on a strategic new channel that integrates investment capabilities with the e‑banking platform, influencing scalability and operational models from an early stage.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security and long‑term maintainability.
• Partner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into high‑quality user experiences.
• Deliver production‑grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications.
• Address advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimisation and integration with distributed backend systems.
• Refactor and modernise existing codebases and support troubleshooting in development and production environments.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and React at enterprise scale.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence technical direction.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset, thriving in agile, cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
