Senior Full Stack (.NET/React) Developer

About the role

Vitol, an energy and commodities trader, is looking for a passionate, entrepreneurially minded Senior Full Stack Developer to join its Analytics team in Geneva. You will help expand the global analytics platform, which is fed by data from the company's in-house end-to-end trading system and external datasets. The role interfaces directly with business users such as research analysts, traders and operators, and with top management to define requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a distributed team to develop a strategic set of analytics applications.
• Develop AI-enabled solutions using modern LLMs, generative AI tools and machine learning.
• Contribute to React-based front-end applications that give actionable business insights.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Own projects from design through deployment and support.
• Build resilient, maintainable and testable systems used globally.
• Take part in architecture discussions, code reviews and technical mentoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional work with C# and related .NET technologies in global enterprise solutions.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience operating AI models to deliver high-quality software.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and awareness of CI/CD concepts.
• Proactive, self-motivated, good communicator, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong React experience, including modular JavaScript, asynchronous patterns and DOM manipulation.
• Relational databases and SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle or similar).
• Preferred: integrating AI models and services into production apps, knowledge of LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering or machine learning workflows, GraphQL/gRPC, Rx, Kafka, and experience in analytics, commodities, energy trading or financial markets.
