Senior Industrial Procurement Transformation Consultant – Contract Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a senior consultant to lead the transformation of procurement and contract manufacturing for a major industrial client. The role focuses on defining sourcing strategies, building contract manufacturing capabilities and coaching procurement teams throughout a multi‑year transformation program.

Key responsibilities

• Define a mid‑to‑long‑term contract manufacturing and category strategy, including make‑or‑buy assessments and supplier segmentation.
• Design the future target operating model, governance, KPIs and performance measurement routines for the category.
• Develop risk mitigation, business continuity and dual‑sourcing approaches to enhance supply‑chain agility and resilience.
• Coach and up‑skill procurement teams on methodologies, tools and best practices related to contract manufacturing.
• Support talent acquisition and leadership development for the future category leader role.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in industrial procurement, strategic sourcing and contract manufacturing within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to design operating models, governance structures and performance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills to assess supplier capabilities, risks and capacity constraints.
• Experience coaching procurement teams and driving maturity improvements.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
