Senior Linux System Administrator - Infrastructure & Observability

About the role

FORFIRM is looking for an experienced and motivated Infrastructure & Observability Engineer to join its international team and work on projects for Europe's leading brands. The role covers Linux infrastructure management, observability and monitoring, automation and DevOps integration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and evolve enterprise Linux infrastructures on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Debian, and support Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Ensure system reliability, availability and performance through proactive infrastructure management
• Contribute to patch management, system hardening and infrastructure lifecycle activities
• Design, implement and manage monitoring and observability solutions, including dashboards, alerts and reports
• Manage and optimize platforms such as Splunk, Icinga, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace and related tools, and support automated monitoring of infrastructure, applications and critical services
• Apply DevOps and Infrastructure as Code best practices, and design automation workflows with Ansible, Terraform and Python
• Integrate monitoring and observability into CI/CD pipelines, and develop scripts to automate operational tasks and system integrations
• Support CMDB administration (preferably Device42), asset inventory, dependency mapping and infrastructure documentation
• Support centralized management of secrets, credentials, keys and certificates, and help ensure compliance with internal standards and regulations
• Act as subject matter expert, produce technical documentation and collaborate with infrastructure, development, security and operations teams

Required profile

• Proven experience in infrastructure administration, monitoring and observability in enterprise environments
• Solid background in DevOps methodologies, automation and operational excellence
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging and alerting platforms, and in complex, highly available environments
• Preferred: experience in financial services, banking or other highly regulated industries, and in SRE, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Preferred: experience defining enterprise monitoring and observability frameworks, knowledge of ITIL, and relevant certifications
