Senior Manager, EM Procurement Strategy & Warehousing Initiatives

About the role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Senior Manager, External Manufacturing Procurement Strategy & Warehousing Initiatives, based in Zug (Switzerland) or Geel/Beerse (Belgium), Cork (Ireland) or Leiden (Netherlands). This is a strategic delivery role within External Manufacturing Procurement that partners with the EM Global Category Leader and subcategory leaders to turn priorities into clear programs, decisions and measurable outcomes across a complex global supplier landscape. It leads business-critical initiatives, sets portfolio governance, develops insights for leadership decisions and drives cross-functional execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high-impact cross-functional programs: own the EM strategic initiative portfolio, define outcomes, roadmaps, milestones and accountabilities, and lead initiatives from scoping through implementation (e.g., late-stage customization, A&D integration, supplier or contract programs).
• Create executive-ready recommendations on strategic choices, investments, supplier engagement and operating-model changes.
• Provide procurement leadership for selected external warehousing, overflow-storage, capacity and warehouse-space projects, partnering with Supply Chain, Deliver and Manufacturing on sourcing strategies and commercial options.
• Lead or support market assessments, supplier strategies, sourcing events, commercial evaluations and negotiations, balancing capacity flexibility, cost, service, compliance, business continuity and risk.
• Lead EM business planning, budget planning and financial forecasting with Finance, and own the consolidated view of savings, productivity, commitments, risks and opportunities.
• Own the EM Procurement KPI dashboard and portfolio scorecards, simplify and automate management information, and ensure governance forums focus on decisions and value delivery.
• Improve EM Procurement ways of working, governance and prioritization, and design and run leadership workshops and strategic planning sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Significant experience in strategy or management consulting, procurement/category management/strategic sourcing, supply chain and logistics, or warehousing and logistics procurement.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a global matrix environment.
• Strong problem-structuring and analytical capability, and strong financial acumen including business planning, forecasting and value tracking.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority and to challenge constructively.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management and presentation skills; occasional travel of 5-10% may be required.
