Senior Mechanical Engineer - Equipment & Packages (Turbine)

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the execution of turbine unit systems and air‑cooled condenser units within its waste‑to‑value projects. You will be responsible for defining work packages, managing technical specifications, and ensuring seamless integration of turbine equipment with other plant disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Turbine Unit System and Air Cooled Condenser Unit projects.
• Define work packages and prepare technical specifications for turbine system scope and services.
• Prepare RFQ documentation, conduct technical supplier meetings, support supplier selection and ensure timely execution of assigned lots.
• Coordinate and supervise concept and basic engineering activities with a strong focus on turbine system integration.
• Maintain consistency of technical interfaces between turbine components and related plant disciplines.
• Clarify interfaces with civil, structural, electrical & instrumentation, construction, and plant layout teams.
• Review, comment, and approve supplier engineering documents, ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
• Support construction and commissioning activities (mainly from the office) and ensure regulatory compliance, with 10–20% travel.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master).
• 3–5+ years of experience in turbine systems, power plant engineering, or EPC projects.
• Strong experience with turbine equipment, auxiliary systems, or rotating machinery in industrial or power generation environments.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, plant processes, and engineering interfaces.
• Experience in supplier management, technical coordination, and engineering documentation handling.
• Structured, precise, self‑driven working style with strong ownership and problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments and ensure technical alignment across interfaces.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
