Senior Product Engineer – High‑Performance Miniature Circuit Breaker

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the development of a high‑performance miniature circuit breaker. The role involves end‑to‑end product engineering, from pre‑studies and planning through evaluation and implementation of key features.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to investigate problems, develop solutions and deliver recommendations as lead engineer or project manager.
• Analyse technical and business aspects of proposed solutions to support decision‑making.
• Drive mechanical and electrical design activities for low‑voltage products, ensuring manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
• Collaborate with global suppliers, manufacturing sites and engineering groups throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in product engineering or a comparable technical environment.
• Proven project‑management experience and ability to work in cross‑functional settings.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems for low‑voltage products.
• Mechanical design of plastic and metal components, interfaces and both manual and automated assembly processes.
• Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles.
• Advanced CAD skills, preferably SolidWorks.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
