Senior Scientist QC

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Senior Scientist in Quality Control to act as the primary liaison between QC customers and CSM for GMP reference standard qualification. The role involves authoring, revising and reviewing protocols and reports for biotechnological reference materials.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and timely completion of qualification protocols and reports, supporting LIMS/LES activities and Trackwise records.
• Provide technical mentoring and coaching to colleagues across matrix teams.
• Support quality documentation, change management, and compliance with data integrity and safety requirements.
• Drive innovation projects, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and act as SME during audits and inspections.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Biology, Chemistry or related life‑sciences discipline.
• Proven experience in a cGMP environment, preferably in quality control or analytical development.
• Exceptional technical writing skills and strong project and time management abilities.
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with QC software such as LIMS/LES, DMS, Trackwise, Statistica.
• Advanced knowledge of analytical chemistry/biology techniques.
• Proficiency in cGMP quality standards and documentation.
