Site Reliability Engineer – eFX/Crypto

About the role

Swissquote is seeking a hands‑on Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability, scalability and performance of its production eFX and crypto platforms. The role focuses on Kubernetes, automation, observability and infrastructure reliability across on‑premise and private‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production systems, respond to incidents and maintain optimal uptime.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Automate IT and operational processes using IaC tools.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Improve system observability with Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic/Kibana.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, fault analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct stress, resilience, disaster‑recovery and BCP testing.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to enhance production readiness.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide operational support.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform or Systems Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes in production.
• Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and willingness to learn French.
• Detail‑oriented, team‑player attitude and passion for technology.

• Kubernetes (including service mesh, Istio, networking, health checks).
• Docker and container technologies.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, Ansible.
• CI/CD pipelines – Github Actions, ArgoCD.
• Observability tools – Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/Kibana.
• Scripting – Python, Shell.
• Networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, HTTP, load balancing.
• Java web applications – Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat.
• Helm, Kubernetes operators.
• Message brokers – Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Windows Server 2016/2022, MT4/MT5.
