Site Tenders & Projects Director

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Site Tenders & Projects Director to lead its Villeneuve site. The role combines strategic oversight of bids and project delivery with people management, ensuring that the site meets its quality, cost and delivery targets while mitigating risks.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the portfolio of tenders and projects to align with corporate strategic objectives and minimise risk.
• Allocate resources across bids and projects, ensuring timely execution and optimal value creation.
• Drive Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) performance and hold teams accountable for results.
• Develop, coach and manage a high‑performing team of Bid Managers, Project Managers and Sub‑System Managers.
• Deploy and monitor bid and project processes, providing operational support, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration between engineering, sourcing, quality, finance and product line functions, and resolve escalated issues across sites.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading large‑scale projects or bids, preferably in a transversal or international context.
• Degree in Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fluency in English and French; German is a plus.
• Strategic vision, results‑driven mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation; knowledge of the railway industry is desirable.

Required skills

• Project Management certification (IPMA or PMI) – preferred.
