Software Engineer, Command Centre (Frontend & UI/UX)

About the role

You will build the Command Centre, the operator screen that displays robot and camera feeds, enables rapid decision‑making and tasking of the fleet. The role combines engineering and design, shaping flows, prototyping, testing with operators and shipping production code.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an operator interface that shows live video, site maps, robot positions and alerts in a single view.
• Design and implement alert‑triage flows from evidence collection to decision and robot dispatch.
• Create a plain‑language tasking interface for the fleet and visualise the planned actions.
• Build and maintain a design system of reusable components and patterns.
• Prototype, test with operators, measure usability and iterate on the experience.
• Ensure real‑time performance for streams and multiple sites without UI slowdown.

Required profile

• Frontend engineer with strong UI/UX craftsmanship.
• 3+ years of experience using TypeScript and React.
• Experience shipping data‑heavy, real‑time interfaces such as maps, video dashboards or control panels.
• Proficient in designing flows, prototyping in Figma and conducting user tests.
• Comfortable working with backend APIs and real‑time transports like WebSockets or WebRTC.
• Accessibility and performance are built‑in habits.
