Specialist Logistic Planner

About the role

The Logistic Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating the shipment of material, component, and production goods flows both upstream and downstream to ensure optimal availability for production and global distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor shipment and distribution plans based on forecasts, clinical needs, QC plans and Control Tower heuristic plan.
• Coordinate inbound (raw materials, components) and outbound (finished goods, QC IPC) flows with carriers and warehouses.
• Optimize transportation and storage costs while maintaining high service levels.
• Manage and update planning parameters in the Control Tower system (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, etc.).
• Analyze lead‑time coverage and anticipate requirements to prevent shipment disruption.
• Monitor and resolve logistics issues such as customs clearance, international transport delays, and supplier setbacks.
• Track KPIs (OTIF, stock levels, service rate) and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in transversal projects including digitalisation, E2E Control Tower, automation and bot development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in planning, logistics, supply chain or import/export, preferably in a GMP pharma/biotech environment.

Required skills

• Proven expertise with MRP/ERP systems, especially SAP ECC.
• Experience using a Control Tower planning system.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for logistics optimisation.
