Sr. Android Engineer

About the role

This senior position is based in Switzerland and focuses on shaping large‑scale Android launcher experiences used by millions worldwide. You will lead the design and development of home‑screen environments that combine native Android functionality with embedded Unity gaming and advanced monetisation features.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end development of native Android launcher components such as home screen, app grid, drawer, folders, widgets, wallpapers and themes.
• Architect a modular launcher platform that supports multiple product variants while ensuring high performance and stability.
• Integrate Unity‑based games using Unity as a Library, handling process isolation and performance optimisation.
• Optimise system‑level metrics including startup speed, memory usage and responsiveness, complying with Google Play policies.
• Implement monetisation systems (ads, search, in‑game placements) using platforms like AdMob and Unity Ads.
• Collaborate with product, design and game teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews and promote best engineering practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional Android development experience on large‑scale, production‑grade applications.
• Proven experience building custom Android launchers or home‑screen replacements.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Unity as a Library or similar game engines into Android apps.
