Statistical & Data Services Internship (SDDS)

About the role

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is offering a full‑time, unpaid internship within its Statistics, Data and Digital Service (SDDS) in Geneva. Interns will support statistical compilation, analysis and visualisation on topics such as illicit financial flows, South‑South cooperation and sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with statistical and analytical activities related to Illicit Financial Flows, South‑South cooperation and Beyond GDP.
• Prepare documentation, organise meetings and support outreach activities.
• Conduct analyses and draft reports or infographics.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a relevant university programme or recent graduate.
• Ability to work five days a week (40 hours) remotely or onsite in Geneva.
• Must cover all travel, accommodation, insurance and living costs.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows operating system (latest version with updates).
• Office 365 applications.
• Modern web browser capable of running Office 365.
• Basic IT security practices (firewall enabled, strong passwords).
