Strategy Intern - Future Talent Program (EPD)

About the role

Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals Business (EPD) in Basel, Switzerland, is looking for a highly motivated candidate for a 6-12 month Strategy Internship (m/f/d). As part of the EPD Strategy Team, you will help shape the strategic agenda of one of the world's leading branded generics businesses across emerging markets, with exposure to corporate strategy, executive leadership communications, cross-functional transformation and global business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of EPD's strategic agenda through research, analysis and business insights.
• Collect, consolidate and analyse data from internal and external sources to support strategic decisions.
• Develop quantitative analyses and turn findings into actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
• Help prepare executive-level presentations such as leadership updates, strategic reviews and steering committee materials.
• Contribute to strategic assessments and cross-functional transformation projects.
• Work with stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, R&D, Finance and other functions.
• Coordinate project activities, track milestones, prepare meeting materials and follow up on deliverables.
• Carry out external research, competitive intelligence and benchmarking analyses.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's or MBA in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Life Sciences or a related field.
• Strong interest in corporate strategy, management consulting, business development or general management.
• Previous internship or project experience in strategy, consulting, finance, business analytics or a related field is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to draw insights from complex data sets.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders internationally.
