System Support Engineer – Diagnostics

About the role

Roche Switzerland, which bridges pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, is recruiting a System Support Engineer for its R&D Service chapter in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. You will be a key technical expert in a cross-functional environment, supporting Roche Diagnostics Systems throughout their entire lifecycle, from development to post-launch.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert and main contact for internal customers on all service aspects.
• Install Roche Diagnostics systems, including hardware and software, across all development phases, including early prototypes, following the installation manuals in the RDK database.
• Carry out system qualifications (IQ/OQ), preventive maintenance and autonomous troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software issues.
• Manage deployment and servicing of systems and their configurations.
• Keep comprehensive documentation in line with quality standards.
• Provide technical support for global development trials.

Required profile

• HF or university degree in engineering or life sciences (medical devices, electronics and automation, mechatronics) or equivalent technical vocational training with practical experience.
• Experience in, or willingness to work in, a highly regulated industry and in S1/S2 biosafety laboratories.
• First hands-on experience in a technical or mechanical occupation.
• Customer- and service-oriented, with strong communication and collaboration skills and an autonomous, proactive style.
• Written and spoken English is essential; German is an advantage for the Rotkreuz site.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic network administration and IT troubleshooting.
• Experience servicing diagnostic instruments or equipment management.
• Experience resolving technical issues across hardware, software and laboratory workflows.
• Experience in a GMP- or ISO-regulated environment.
