Talent Acquisition Specialist – International Research Lab

About the role

CERN is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its multicultural recruitment team. You will help attract and hire diverse talent for scientific and technical missions, supporting ambitious diversity goals across all hiring levels.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and stakeholder groups to translate recruitment needs into market‑ready job ads and attraction strategies.
• Facilitate fair, transparent, and inclusive selection processes and ensure a seamless candidate experience from contact to onboarding.
• Build and engage talent communities, contribute to employer branding, and represent CERN at outreach events.
• Support the design of future recruitment processes, especially for students and graduates, by staying informed of best practices.
• Use internal and external data to inform decisions and produce recruitment reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in end‑to‑end recruitment within an in‑house, international environment.
• Demonstrated ability to source and engage talent across a variety of roles.
• Strong customer‑service orientation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Mastery of talent acquisition processes and best practices.
• Proficiency with direct sourcing techniques and tools.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other web‑based recruitment applications.
• Ability to analyse HR data and use analytics for decision‑making.
• Effective use of social media platforms for employer branding and outreach.
