Team Lead of Content Moderators (Remote)

About the role

This position leads a distributed team of content moderators, ensuring consistent enforcement of platform policies across high‑impact and sensitive content. You will operate in a remote‑first environment, combining people leadership, operational oversight, and data‑driven analysis to uphold user trust and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day moderation operations, meeting productivity, quality, and compliance targets.
• Provide hands‑on guidance for complex or high‑risk moderation cases.
• Monitor performance metrics and trends to identify operational improvements.
• Coordinate scheduling and workflow distribution for balanced workloads.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
• Conduct moderation audits to ensure consistency and identify policy gaps.
• Act as escalation point for challenging cases and internal concerns.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders to enhance trust‑and‑safety strategies.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of leadership experience in content moderation, compliance, trust & safety, regulatory affairs, or policy environments.
• Strong understanding of sensitive online content such as hate speech, violent extremism, self‑harm, fraud, exploitation, and misinformation.
• Proven ability to interpret and enforce platform policies consistently and professionally.
• Experience analyzing moderation data, performance metrics, and operational trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working fully remote with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• High integrity, resilience, and emotional maturity when handling sensitive content.
• Strong computer literacy and confidence using digital tools and moderation systems.
