Technician – Manufacturing & Quality Control

About the role

Oxford Instruments Nanoindentation is seeking a hands‑on Technician to join its team in Buchs, Zurich. You will be involved in the manufacturing, assembly, testing and quality control of high‑precision nanoindentation systems used in advanced research and industry.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and manufacture precision nanoindentation instruments and sub‑assemblies.
• Perform testing, calibration and quality control inspections to ensure products meet high standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly or quality issues.
• Follow manufacturing procedures, technical drawings and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly or technician role.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow detailed procedures.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Assembly of precision electromechanical instruments.
• Testing and calibration of scientific equipment.
• Reading and applying technical drawings and work instructions.
