Territory Sales & Marketing Manager (80‑100%)

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for an experienced Territory Sales & Marketing Manager to lead sales and marketing of its Insulation & Components portfolio across the German market and the wider DACH region. The role will be based in Zurich or Germany and will focus on transformer OEMs, utilities and service companies.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and marketing of the full I&C portfolio for third‑party transformer OEMs in the assigned countries.
• Provide technical training to customers and ensure accurate quotations and technical support from global factories.
• Manage product customization projects and liaise with utilities for homologation and tender specifications.
• Feed market intelligence to factories, the Global Product Group and local product managers, and deliver regular forecasts.
• Collaborate with Hitachi Energy sales channels and third‑party service projects to create synergies and increase sales volumes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor or Master) plus business administration qualification.
• More than 10 years of international technical sales and marketing experience in power or distribution transformers.
• Proven business development, account management and cross‑selling skills across systems, solutions and services.
• Fluent in German and English (both spoken and written); additional European language a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for international business trips.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
