Translational Medicine Director/Associate – Cardiovascular & Metabolic

About the role

Novartis BioMedical Research seeks a senior Translational Medicine expert to lead cardiovascular and metabolic programs. The role bridges early clinical research and full drug development, guiding projects from proof‑of‑concept through registration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global cross‑functional teams through the PoC phase and oversee clinical trial design, execution and data interpretation.
• Act as medical monitor for clinical studies, communicate findings to decision boards, and manage biomarker strategies.
• Oversee publication and external presentation of PoC results and support interactions with health authorities.

Required profile

• MD (clinical subspecialty in cardiovascular or metabolic disease) with optional PhD/post‑doctoral research experience.
• 5+ years of experience in pharma/biotech, CRO or academic medical center for Director level; 1‑2 years for Associate level.
• Recognised medical and scientific expertise with a strong publication record.
