Alternative Investment Associate

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, client‑oriented professional to help develop and commercialise Santander Private Banking’s Alternative Investments platform in Switzerland. The role blends client advisory, product strategy and lifecycle management, with a strong focus on growing assets under management and deepening client engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the development and commercialisation of the Alternative Investments platform.
• Provide client advisory and translate complex investment strategies into actionable solutions.
• Manage product strategy, lifecycle and end‑to‑end delivery of private‑markets solutions.
• Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including legal, compliance, operations and relationship managers.
• Support product approval processes and ensure smooth operational execution.
• Grow assets under management and increase penetration of alternative investments.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• CAIA and/or CFA designation preferred; CWMA certification required.
• Solid understanding of private markets such as private equity, private credit, real estate and hedge funds.
• Experience in alternative investments within private banking, asset management or advisory.
• Strong client‑facing and commercial mindset with proven ability to drive product adoption and AuM growth.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Hands‑on, execution‑driven and comfortable managing operational aspects.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese and French a plus.
