Business Development Manager

About the role

South Pole is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its sustainability business across the region. You will build long‑term client relationships, shape the go‑to‑market strategy and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver climate‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create new business opportunities and identify market trends related to climate action.
• Develop and present tailored offers and proposals together with product and consulting teams.
• Represent South Pole in client meetings, conferences and remote sessions.
• Negotiate commercial agreements with senior management support for complex deals.
• Maintain client satisfaction through regular contact and high‑quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with marketing to define customer segments, run campaigns and provide market feedback.

Required profile

• University degree in Sustainability, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in sustainability or climate sectors.
• Proven track record of generating leads and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong commercial acumen, critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities in German and English.
• Self‑driven, results‑oriented with a genuine passion for climate change.
