Afterschool Activities Leader

About the role

The Afterschool Leader is responsible for planning, delivering and overseeing engaging extracurricular activities for students at the British School of Geneva. This role creates a positive, inclusive environment that supports students’ confidence, creativity, teamwork and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate ECA and after‑school club sessions, adapting activities to suit different ages, abilities and experience levels.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, monitor student engagement and provide feedback to the ECA Coordinator.
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of all participants, following school policies and reporting any concerns immediately.
• Prepare and tidy equipment and resources, arriving on time and ready for each session.
• Communicate effectively with the ECA Coordinator and other staff, supporting the school’s reputation through professional conduct.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational, coaching or activity‑based setting.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging workshops or activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to creating an inclusive environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
