Business Controller – Finance Function Lead

About the role

As the Business Controller for Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) you will build and lead the local finance function that supports the company’s innovation pipeline. Based in Arbon, Switzerland, you will work closely with both local teams and international finance partners to ensure accurate reporting, budgeting and portfolio analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and strengthen the local finance foundation within the Nutreco framework.
• Coordinate monthly and annual closing activities, financial reporting and tax filings.
• Deliver integrated profit reporting across NutEx products and liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Own and maintain the NutEx financial model, monitor value creation and track project budgets.
• Support portfolio reviews, strategic planning cycles and senior‑management reporting.
• Lead or support ad‑hoc financial analyses, continuous‑improvement initiatives and data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance, reporting and budgeting within a multinational environment.
• Ability to coordinate with international colleagues and shared service centers.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on value creation and performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with auditors, stakeholders and senior management.
