Senior Business Analyst - Financial Instruments Data

About the role

Avaloq is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the Asset Data Sourcing service within its Banking Operations division. You will own data sourcing activities for the global Financial Instruments Master Data Service (Asset Hub) and support both operational and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and oversee Asset Data Sourcing service operations, acting as senior escalation point for complex data, client, or vendor issues.
• Plan and implement asset, issuer, pricing and related data migration projects.
• Design, maintain and document complex business rules, mappings and specifications for releases.
• Engage with clients to capture requirements, create functional specifications, test and release solutions.
• Coordinate with data providers such as SIX Financial Information and Bloomberg, advising internal consumers on feed topics.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Business Analyst in reference and market data management.
• Strong banking or financial services background with hands‑on experience in financial instruments master data.
• Proactive, motivated and comfortable taking ownership of critical topics.
• Fluent in German and English; additional Italian or French is a plus.

Required skills

• SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
• Temenos DataSource (TDS) rule engine configuration and data modelling.
• Experience with the Avaloq Core Banking System.
• Knowledge of SIX Financial Information VDFS data feeds.
