Business Development Manager – Autonomy

About the role

This senior position sits at the intersection of advanced autonomy technology and commercial execution, driving adoption of next‑generation autonomous solutions in the agriculture sector. Based in Switzerland, you will act as a key liaison between customers, sales, marketing, and engineering, turning field insights into product improvements and growth strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate CRM tracking.
• Lead customer engagement activities such as field days, demonstrations, evaluations, and proof‑of‑concept trials.
• Deliver hands‑on training and technical guidance on autonomy and vision‑based solutions to customers and channel partners.
• Identify emerging market needs and new agricultural use cases through close customer relationships.
• Provide structured feedback to Marketing and Engineering to influence product road‑maps.
• Develop sales materials, including presentations, pitch decks, and executive‑level communications.
• Support account managers with technical expertise throughout the sales process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in technical sales, field applications, market development, or similar customer‑facing technical roles.
• Strong background in agriculture (broadacre, row crop, or permanent crop) and familiarity with channel or distribution models.
• Excellent English communication; additional European languages are a plus.
• Proactive, relationship‑driven mindset with strong organizational skills.
