Communications and Marketing Manager

About the role

The Global Health Security Fund is seeking an entrepreneurial and highly independent Communications & Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of its communications and marketing activities. This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on implementation, working closely with leadership, program teams, and an external PR/marketing agency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communications plans aligned with organizational priorities, fundraising goals, and program milestones.
• Strengthen the positioning, messaging, and visibility of the Fund and its programs, including BioPREVAIL.
• Maintain consistent messaging across websites, social media, email, presentations, publications, and partner materials.
• Manage a rolling editorial and campaign calendar and coordinate briefs, approvals, and feedback with the external agency.
• Design and execute integrated campaigns to increase visibility, engagement, and partnership opportunities across LinkedIn, email, websites, events, and partner networks.
• Build repeatable processes and reusable communication assets to support program growth.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of autonomy and accountability.
• Proven experience in communications, marketing, or brand management, preferably in the nonprofit or health sector.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external agencies while aligning activities with strategic priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

What we offer

• One‑year fixed‑term contract with a salary up to CHF 80,000 gross per year (prorated to activity rate).
