Continuous Improvement Specialist (80-100%)

About the role

ABB is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist (80-100% on-site) in its Electrification Power Protection manufacturing department in Quartino. The role reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager and supports the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, mentoring teams toward operational excellence and leading projects that improve local business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Align local continuous improvement strategies with ABB's global initiatives, ensuring consistent execution and measurable impact.
• Implement operational excellence strategies in safety, lean production, internal PPAP and cost through cross-functional collaboration.
• Support capability building by developing and delivering targeted training modules and toolkits for local business needs.
• Manage product and process development across departments and suppliers, including PFMEA, production line setup, tooling and line feeding of material.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Business Engineering and Production (or equivalent).
• Green Belt certification.
• 2+ years in production engineering, specializing in Power Electronics assemblies.
• Fluent Italian and advanced English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in continuous improvement tools such as FMEA, Lean, 5S, Yamazumi, VSM and ABC XYZ analysis.
• SAP and BOM analysis, and work cycle optimization.
• Project cost evaluation and capital investment justification.
