Design Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Design Technician to join our operations team in Raron. The role focuses on creating and maintaining technical documentation for medical technology products, using both 2D and 3D CAD tools. The position is initially fixed‑term until May 2027, with a possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical documentation and part lists required for product fabrication.
• Create production drawings, pictograms, and GD&T specifications in line with Jabil standards.
• Model devices, tools, measuring equipment, implants, and instruments using 3D CAD.
• Maintain the document master and coordinate change requests.
• Provide technical support to production and assist with simple fixture and test‑tool design.
• Participate in project teams for new product development and support LEAN/5S initiatives.
• Support apprentice training and standardisation of Jabil projects.

Required profile

• Completed basic or higher education.
• 2‑4 years of practical experience in construction or product development (non‑apprentice).
• Proficiency in German; English is highly appreciated.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer‑orientation skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of 2D CAD.
• Good knowledge of 3D CAD.
• Experience with PLM systems.
• Understanding of GD&T principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
