Director of Food and Beverage

About the role

Michel Reybier Hospitality is looking for a full-time, on-site Director of Food and Beverage based in Zermatt. The role oversees all food and beverage operations across the property, including restaurant, bar, in-room dining and banquet services, and ensures consistently high standards of guest satisfaction, product quality and service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach teams and design menus with culinary leadership
• Monitor food safety and hygiene
• Manage operational budgets and control costs
• Collaborate with other departments to support property performance and special events
• Work hands-on in outlets, engage directly with guests and continuously improve service processes

Required profile

• Proven expertise in F&B operations, including restaurant, bar and banquet management
• Experience managing diverse hospitality teams, including recruitment, training and performance management
• Previous experience in luxury or upscale hospitality is highly beneficial
• Relevant hospitality or business degree, or equivalent professional experience in F&B leadership
• Ability to work on-site in Zermatt, including evenings, weekends and peak periods

Required skills

• Solid culinary skills and understanding of gastronomy, menu development and food quality standards
• Budgeting, cost control and financial analysis for F&B departments
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene regulations for food and beverage
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
