Factory Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

The Factory Controller joins the Thayngen site leadership team, providing financial expertise, strategic decision support and cost‑optimization leadership for Unilever Foods.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership to achieve financial objectives and identify performance‑improvement opportunities.
• Own delivery of in‑year financial targets, site forecast, weekly cost governance and the annual business planning process.
• Drive long‑term strategic planning (Masterplan, network transformation, annual plan) and guide leadership on key value items.
• Co‑develop and implement cost‑saving initiatives in collaboration with Operations.
• Provide analytical support for line and area prioritisation based on production costs, OLE losses and waste data.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing, reporting and accounting in line with corporate guidelines.
• Ensure robust on‑site financial controls over inventory, fixed assets and balance‑sheet integrity.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years finance experience with a strong controlling background; factory or supply‑chain finance preferred.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of German or willingness to develop it.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining governance.
• Mobility: role based in Thayngen factory.
