Financial Business Partner – Controlling

About the role

As a Financial Business Partner you will join Avaloq’s Business Controlling Team, supporting Product Development’s financial goals and business models. You will translate financial data into actionable insights, working closely with business area heads, product owners and project managers to drive profitability and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and report monthly performance of the business area, strategic initiatives and projects.
• Drive periodic project forecasting, coordinate gap analysis and oversee gap‑closing processes.
• Host performance‑measuring meetings such as performance and business case reviews.
• Coordinate target setting and budgeting across division hierarchies.
• Review and approve commercial contracts within your responsibility area.
• Prepare and implement material for monthly book closing, including accruals and project completion tracking.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Business Economics or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of controlling experience, preferably in finance or IT.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• High initiative, dependability and excellent communication in English; German is a plus.
