Financial Controller - F1 Financial Regulations

About the role

As a Financial Controller for the FIA’s F1 Financial Regulations, you will work from Geneva and travel across Europe to support and audit the financial activities of Formula 1 teams. You will collaborate directly with senior finance leaders, conduct on‑site audits, and help safeguard the integrity and fairness of the sport.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and audit financial submissions from F1 teams to ensure compliance with FIA regulations.
• Perform in‑depth reviews of financial data, including benchmarking, trend analysis and ratio analysis, to identify risks.
• Conduct on‑site audits and maintain strong relationships with team finance departments.
• Co‑operate with FIA financial advisors on ad‑hoc analyses and investigations of suspected breaches.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of FIA’s financial documentation and submission processes.
• Work with the IT team and external consultants to enhance reporting tools and submission platforms.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in financial audit, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Master’s degree in finance, business or accounting.
• Solid understanding of International Accounting Standards and accounting principles; consolidation techniques are a plus.
• Fluent English; French is a strong advantage.
• Rigorous, committed, with a strong sense of integrity.
• Willingness to travel frequently to the UK, Italy and Switzerland.
