Financial Controller - F1 Financial Regulations

About the role

The FIA is looking for a Financial Controller based in Geneva, working closely with F1 Teams and giving privileged insight into how the sport operates at the highest level. You will report directly to the Head of Financial Regulations F1 Teams and travel across Europe to meet senior finance leaders and carry out on-site audits, helping safeguard the integrity and fairness of Formula 1.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and audit the financial submissions of F1 Teams to ensure compliance with the FIA Financial Regulations
• Carry out in-depth reviews of financial data (benchmarking, trend analysis, ratio analysis) to identify risks and inconsistencies
• Conduct on-site audits and support relationships with F1 Teams finance departments
• Cooperate with FIA financial advisors on ad-hoc analyses and work on investigations of suspected breaches
• Contribute to improving the financial documentation and submission processes, and work with the IT team and external consultants on reporting tools and submission platforms
• Help prepare and regularly update guidance documents, training materials and submission instructions for F1 Teams

Required profile

• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in financial audit in a Big Four firm or equivalent
• Professional motorsport experience in an F1 Team (external auditor, consultant or employee) is a strong advantage
• Master's degree in finance, business or accounting
• Fluent English; French is a strong advantage
• Rigorous, committed, with a strong sense of integrity, and able to work autonomously in an international environment
• Willingness to travel frequently to the UK, Italy and Switzerland to visit F1 Teams factories
