Global Internal Audit Lead

About the role

A leading global business is looking for a Global Internal Audit Lead to join its team in Geneva, Switzerland. The role combines traditional audit expertise with AI tools and data analytics to strengthen the internal audit function, delivering risk-based audits across international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver internal audit engagements across the organisation's global operations with a consistent, high-quality approach.
• Integrate AI tools into audit planning, testing, risk assessment and reporting, and use them to automate manual activities and strengthen risk identification.
• Use data analytics tools to analyse large datasets, identify trends and anomalies and support data-driven audit conclusions.
• Develop and enhance audit methodologies with emerging technologies and innovative approaches.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management frameworks and governance processes across international business units.
• Present audit findings, recommendations and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
• Work with international teams to improve control environments and promote a strong risk and compliance culture.
• Travel internationally as required to conduct audits and engage with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum of 6 years' experience in internal audit, ideally in a large, international or complex business.
• Practical experience applying AI to audit activities, processes or methodologies.
• Strong experience with data analytics tools and the ability to analyse datasets.
• Solid understanding of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, internal controls and corporate governance.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work independently in a global environment.
