Head of Executive Communications

About the role

The Head of Executive Communications will shape and deliver a unified voice for Roche’s senior leaders worldwide. Reporting to the Global Head of External Engagement, you will partner with the Communications Leadership Team to design and execute integrated communication strategies for both internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the vision, strategy, and objectives for the executive communications function.
• Recruit, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of executive communicators, staying current with digital and AI trends.
• Create succession, capability, and resource plans to retain talent and ensure long‑term continuity.
• Represent External Engagement on cross‑functional forums, providing communications expertise and strategic guidance.
• Break down silos across business units, leveraging insights and best practices across the Roche Group.
• Collaborate closely with the Communications Leadership Team to align executive messaging with overall corporate goals.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in executive or corporate communications.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate complex topics into clear messages.
• Excellent collaboration skills and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing global communication initiatives.
