HSE Manager – Site Development (100%) – Sisslerfeld

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental activities at our Greenfield site in Sisslerfeld. You will ensure a safe, compliant and sustainable working environment across all site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of HSE concepts and standards.
• Act as the primary HSE responsible person both internally and externally.
• Develop and execute hazard and risk assessments such as HAZID and HAZOP.
• Establish occupational health, safety and industrial hygiene programs and coordinate hygiene measurements.
• Define HSE requirements for site projects and align them with Quality/GMP, Global HSE and local teams.
• Co‑operate with fire brigade, emergency services and external authorities on emergency management.
• Create, review and approve HSE‑related procedures, SOPs, VORs and policies.
• Deliver HSE training, promote behavior‑based safety and support sustainability initiatives.
• Build a strong HSE organization and act as a role model in change management.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmacy or a related field.
• Several years of solid HSE experience, preferably in chemical production.
• Deep understanding of chemical processes and safety controls.
• Strong digital and IT competence.
• Experience with modern HSE methodologies and regulatory updates.
• Ability to train, coach and educate employees on HSE regulations.
• Project‑management skills for large‑scale site or construction projects.
• Leadership mindset and strong communication & stakeholder management.
• Fluent in German and English; knowledge of Swiss/EU regulations is a plus.
