International Communications Leader

About the role

The International Communications Leader (ICL) joins Roche's Global Pharma Strategy communications team to shape and execute product and portfolio communication strategies worldwide. Based in Basel, the ICL works closely with cross‑functional partners to drive high‑impact external communications that support commercial and portfolio objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement global product and disease‑area communication plans, including strategy, tactics, and resource allocation.
• Provide counsel to the Lifecycle Leader and Commercialisation Strategy Leader on communication matters.
• Identify, prepare for, and manage communications activities related to assigned topics, including issue management.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and coordinate activities across affiliates, corporate communications, media relations, investor relations, and therapeutic area leaders.
• Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with commercial and portfolio goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, business, communications or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product communications, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Strong commercial focus with the ability to work closely with C‑suite executives.
• Proven experience leading communication strategies in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
