Manager, Financial Reporting and Risk Initiatives

About the role

The Financial Reporting, Accounting & Controlling Team (FRAC) supports Gavi in meeting statutory and donor reporting obligations across the US, Switzerland and the UK. As Manager, Financial Reporting and Risk, you will assist the Senior Manager in delivering accurate financial reports, managing risk controls and providing key performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Senior Manager in preparing Gavi’s Annual Financial Reports and Statutory Financial Statements.
• Coordinate audit deliverables, prepare supporting documentation, track requests and liaise with internal contributors.
• Manage quarterly reviews of the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM) and guide risk owners to mitigate key risks.
• Monitor the Operational Risk Register (ORR) and ensure alignment of FRAC RCM with Gavi requirements.
• Prepare and publish the monthly FRAC metrics deck, ensuring data uniformity and completeness for management decisions.
• Design and refine metrics to reflect FRAC’s evolving ways of working.
• Undertake additional financial reporting, environmental sustainability reporting, donor audit and ad‑hoc projects as assigned.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in audit, statutory reporting, financial accounting or external financial reporting.
• Experience in a US GAAP environment and with consolidation is preferred.
• Background in risk, controls or compliance frameworks; internal or external audit experience preferred.
• Non‑profit sector experience is a plus.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACA or ACCA required.
• Degree in Finance or Accounting desirable.
• Strong business writing, editing and oral communication skills.
