Partner & Head of Regulatory Affairs

About the role

The Partner & Head of Regulatory Affairs will lead Lindemann Law’s regulatory practice, providing strategic counsel to high‑net‑worth clients on complex compliance matters across Swiss and international financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on Swiss and international regulatory frameworks, including banking, insurance, capital markets and asset management law.
• Guide compliance with FINMA, FINMASA, FINMAO, the Swiss Code of Obligations, GWG and AML/KYC requirements.
• Act as primary liaison with regulatory authorities such as FINMA and represent clients in regulatory disputes and arbitration.
• Draft, review and negotiate financial service agreements, due‑diligence reports and complex transaction structures.
• Develop business development strategies, contribute to thought‑leadership content and represent the firm at industry conferences.

Required profile

• Swiss bar admission with a first‑class law qualification (Master’s or PhD), preferably with additional studies in business or financial law.
• 10+ years of senior legal experience, ideally at partner level in a law firm, audit firm or senior in‑house role at a bank or asset manager.
• Established client network and proven ability to attract new mandates.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with a client‑first mentality.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Swiss financial regulatory bodies (FINMA, FINMASA, FINMAO) and international regulators (CSSF, MFSA, FMA, CIMA, BaFin).
• Expertise in AML/KYC compliance, internal control implementation and regulatory dispute handling.
